The Women in Technology Panel Discussion will bring attention to
the underrepresented gender in the field of technology. Women
and students currently working in the field will present their
views on Women in Technology and will provide very real
suggestions for what each woman can do on her own to advance her
career. In addition, ways that men can help to ensure gender
equality in the workplace will also be discussed. There will be
time for Q&A and networking with light refreshments. Students,
faculty, alumni, and members of the community are invited. We
welcome members of both genders to this discussion.
In advance of attending the event please view the
TedTalk by Sheryl Sandberg, CEO Facebook, on why we have too few
women leaders.
Our Panelists will include women from Aetna, Slalom
Consulting, Travelers, and QU's Computer Information Systems,
Game Design & Development, and Interactive Digital Design
Departments.
