Active Shooter Training
The Department of Public Safety conducts a
one-hour, comprehensive active shooter training with existing
employees that gets updated every two years, with the Office of
Human Resources facilitating the logistics.

NCAA Compliance
The athletics compliance office is primarily
responsible for executing the comprehensive compliance program
in order to appropriately educate constituents, provide
interpretations, and prevent violations of applicable NCAA,
conference and institutional rules. Furthermore, the office aims
to foster a culture of compliance and institutional control.
Constituents include all individuals associated with Quinnipiac
Athletics and Recreation - prospective student-athletes, current
student-athletes, coaches, athletics and recreation staff,
Quinnipiac faculty and staff, and representatives of athletics
interests, or boosters.

Mandated Reporters Training
The Department of Athletics provides mandated
reporter training to all athletics camp staff members who meet
the definition of a “mandated reporter” as outlined by
Connecticut state law. Mandated reporters are required to report
or cause a report to be made when, in the ordinary course of
their employment or profession, they have reasonable cause to
suspect or believe that a child under the age of 18 has been
abused, neglected, or is placed in imminent risk of harm.

Title IX
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits discrimination based on sex in educational programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance. To ensure compliance with Title IX and other federal and state laws, the University has developed policies that prohibit discrimination and misconduct on the basis of gender, such as sexual misconduct, sexual violence, sexual harassment, intimate partner violence, stalking and any other gender-based harassment or misconduct.
