Network Associate Volunteer

The Talent Acquisition team created the Network Associate initiative as part of our onboarding process for new members to the QU community.

New hires were matched with a network associate with similar/common interests such as: from the same previous employer, same functional role, or same college or geographic hometown to increase the chance for the participants to have a connection for building a productive and meaningful relationship.

We distinguish a Network Associate differently than that of a mentor.

A network associate is intended to be an informal relationship connection, serving as a resource to offer support/guidance at the university (in addition to department colleagues), whereas a mentor is typically a structured program offering more overall professional mentoring and coaching.

As a result of positive feedback received, we are seeking to attract more volunteers to serve as a network associate for new hires.

We greatly appreciate your willingness to volunteer for this important initiative which will make our new hires feel welcomed and connected in the University community at an early stage.

We will use the information you provide to match you with a new hire who may have things in common with you.
